American University of Beirut second-highest ranked school in the Middle East
The first ranked university of the Middle East is King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (Ranked 216 worldwide), followed by the American University of Beirut (Ranked 250th worldwide) and King Saud University in the 253rd rank internationally. AUB managed to keep the same position as last year.
As far as other Lebanese universities are concerned, only USJ made the list in the 638th rank. LAU was no where to be seen.
The top 10 schools for the year 2013 were as follows:
1- Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)
2- Harvard University
3- University of Cambridge
4- UCL (University College London)
5- Imperial College London
6- University of Oxford
7- Stanford University
8- Yale University
9- University of Chicago
10- California Institute of Technology (Caltech)
